All You Need Is ...
Cake
- 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist Devil's Food Cake Mix
- 75 g malted milk powder
- 230 ml water
- 125 ml vegetable oil (6 tablespoons)
- 3 medium free range eggs
Icing
- 1 tub Betty Crocker™ Vanilla Icing
- 75 g malted milk powder
- 2 tablespoon milk
Decorate
- 10 g chocolate-covered malted milk balls
Betty's Easy Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens) / Gas Mark 4. Grease two 20cm cake tins.
- Mix the eggs, oil, water, malted milk powder and cake mix gently together and whisk (by hand or electric mixer) for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the cake mixture evenly into your two greased cake tins.
- Bake in the centre of the oven for 24-29 minutes or until a rounded knife inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean, then allow to cool on a cooling rack.
- Combine vanilla icing, malted milk powder and milk in a bowl and mix together until well combined. Sandwich the sponges together with about half the frosting, and then spread the other half on top of the cake.
- Decorate the cake with the chocolate-covered malted milk balls and serve!
