The only thing better than cake? Frosting!
Frosting is often an afterthought when baking, and we think this is a serious shame. Frosting can make or break a cake. It’s also a great way to jazz up other recipes too. We’ve put together a list of some innovative uses for icing that taste delicious and know will wow your guests and make you kitchen royalty.
Fill strawberries with cream cheese frosting.
Cut off the tip of the strawberry and scoop out the inside fruit to make room for the frosting. Then stick them in the fridge until their cool and ready to eat. For an extra kick, dip the strawberries in chocolate first.Rim your champagne glass with frosting.
Roll the rim of the glass into a bowl of your favourite frosting. Make it more festive with decorations such as rainbow sprinkles, chocolate flakes or shaved nuts.Ordinary sandwiches are so overrated.
